There are various Sunday services dedicated to a special word from the Lord. Below are a few of such messages.
Hebrews 11:11-12; Genesis 16
Never in the history of the Christian church has one event caused such chaos as the event of October 31st, 1517. By publicly posting his 95 points of concern, Martin Luther simply intended a theological debate, what he received instead was a reformation and the repercussions continue. This morning we’ll look at just three issues of the reformation. While we may agree at face value, we may actually struggle with personal and daily application.
Isa. 9:5-6; 53:1-12
I’m all for the excitement of Christmas morning. Whether you have good memories of the Christmas holiday or not so great, it remains a day to celebrate. But there’s more! The ramp up of excitement for for Christmas Day actually began many thousand years before the event. God did not surprise us with a savior, he literally predicted and promised one, wether you know that you need one or not. Today we are looking specifically at God’s promise to us, for a savior.
I Peter 4:12-19
The New Year is off and running, with or without you. I truthfully feel kind of bad beginning the year with thoughts on the topic of suffering, but not bad enough to change the topic. Each year we start off evenly, like a race, then we lose people along the way, we get hurt, often lose hope, we suffer. None of those things are the problem, the sadness is that so many will be lost, hurt, feel hopeless and suffer without benefit. Let’s prepare ourselves for this years inevitability suffering.
