Resurrection
Life does not get much better than our celebrating the great personal benefits of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through belief in Jesus we have complete forgiveness of sin, a total victory over death, and purpose for our living ( I Corinthians 15:3-4; 17; 20-22; 54-58). However……
Isn’t it just like us to lack appreciation for the very life that God gives? We enjoy so many great and miraculous gifts from God every single day… and we often skip over them all to complain about something that is seemingly not right. Would you take a moment today and express gratitude for something specific that God has given to you? Maybe even take a few moments and list some of the wonderful things in your life that God has graciously given to you.
No matter what is happening in your life on this fine day, you can still smile at the wonderful benefits of having faith in Jesus Christ.
Hey… that reminds me of something. You know, that part about us lacking appreciation? That really is like us isn’t it?
As part of appreciating God’s great gifts, would you consider who in your life right now that you take for granted? There is someone, right? There is someone close to us that we have not appreciated and there are specific things about them that deserve attention.
So say it. Tell someone today. Buy them some dollar store candy, a flower, a note or pass on a kind word. You know, display a graceful thank you to someone close to you.
